Rounding up 2018: Top posts I enjoyed this December

I always love reading everybody else’s blog posts, but December was an absolute barnstormer of a month. The start of Blogmas (I did it too!) meant that my news feed was soon swimming with exciting, inventive posts- especially roundups of the year, the best of which I now present to you as the year draws to a close.

Here are my top 2018 roundups I’ve enjoyed as we head into the New Year:

If you want to know which books to avoid, The Orangutan Librarian’s take on My Most Disappointing Books of 2018 is a must.orangutan.PNG

If you want to get more into indie reads, Pooled Ink’s review of the best publications of 2018 should be right up your street:

If you want some inspiration on changing your reading habits, That Bookshelf Bitch’s look back at how she’s changed as a reader over 2018 is fascinating- and inspiring…

If 2019 is going to be the year of discovering new authors, then Stephanie from Adventures of a Bibliophile has some great places to start in her post ‘Authors I discovered in 2018‘.

This isn’t a round-up, per se, but I loved this post on romance books and their place in literature by Eline @ Lovely Audiobooks so much I had to include it:

Looking for some great YA novels from debut authors? Melanie from Meltotheany has a comprehensive list of everybody from 2018 you need to be checking out. meltot.PNGIf you want to delve into the darker side of human nature, then this post on The Best Thrillers of 2018 by Novelgossip should be the perfect starting place…

Are you looking at setting some goals for 2019? I loved this post from Words by Wildflower simply because of how relatable it is:

Looking forward to 2019? So am I- especially because of these upcoming book releases from Rachel @ Pace, Amore, Libri!

and for people looking for some more fantasy-relatedreading inspiration (ie. me!) Nicole from The Bibliophile Chronicles has the post for you.

That’s my list! There are so many great posts out there that I’ve not managed to include, though: what are yours? Who are you reading right now? Drop a comment below and let’s chat/ get inspired! 🙂
